the saddest thing in life is when your grandmother forgets who you are. No matter how many photos i show her of us when i was younger, she still doesnt connect the past to the present. She doesnt like when i call her “baba”, which is russian for Grandma. She prefers to be called by her first name, Xena. I hate Alzheimer’s. Its the most unfair disease in the world. It leaves a shell of a person you used to know, and that used to know you.
